Job summary

Helmwood Veterinary Clinic in Elizabethtown, KY is seeking a Medical Director to provide medical leadership for a 5-doctor, full-service hospital, supported by NVA’s divisional leadership and a strong team.

You will set clinical protocols, mentor veterinarians, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with the Hospital Manager to drive financial performance and growth through new services and community involvement.

Qualifications

• DVM from an accredited university.
• Kentucky veterinary license in good standing or ability to obtain before start date.
• 3+ years of veterinary experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical leadership: set protocols and uphold high standards of patient care.
• Manage and mentor associate veterinarians.
• Ensure regulatory compliance for the practice of veterinary medicine.
• Grow the practice through new services and community involvement.
• Partner with the Hospital Manager to drive financial performance and day-to-day operations, with guidance from Divisional Leadership.
