Qualifications

• DVM from an accredited university.
• Kentucky veterinary license in good standing (or ability to obtain before start).
• 3+ years veterinary experience preferred.
• Confident decision-making; ability to delegate and lead by coaching.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical leadership and set protocols; uphold high patient care standards.
• Manage and mentor associate veterinarians.
• Ensure regulatory compliance for veterinary medicine.

Helmwood Veterinary Clinic is a well-established small animal hospital in Elizabethtown, KY, offering comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care in a fun, team-focused environment. We’re looking for an enthusiastic Managing Veterinarian to provide medical leadership and keep growing professionally with NVA’s support.

Practice Medicine With Great Tools

• Digital X-rays and digital dental X-rays
• In-house IDEXX laboratory
• Dedicated surgical suite with a separate prep/treatment area

What You’ll Do

What You Bring

• DVM (or equivalent) from an accredited university
• Kentucky veterinary license in good standing (or the ability to obtain one before your start date)
• 3+ years of veterinary experience preferred
• Confident decision-making, and the ability to delegate and lead by coaching and motivating
• A professional, courteous approach with staff and clients
