Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a full-time Site Medical Director at Decatur Correctional Center in Decatur, Illinois. The Medical Director provides clinical direction, oversees patient care, and supervises medical staff at the site, coordinating with CQI and policy committees.

The candidate must hold an MD/DO with an Illinois license, be DEA-eligible, and be BC/BE in a primary care field. Competitive salary starting at $280,800 annually plus comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
• Active, unrestricted MD/DO Illinois license or ability to obtain.
• Active, unrestricted DEA.
• BC/BE in a primary care specialty is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical direction to meet service delivery requirements.
• Direct clinical services for patients and clinical supervision for medical staff at the assigned site.
• Participate in committees such as Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), Infection Prevention and Control, and Pharmacy and Therapeutics.

Decatur, IL is located within 45 mins of Springfield, IL.The Medical Director provides the clinical direction needed to meet service delivery requirements, direct clinical services for patients, and clinical supervision for medical staff at the assigned site under the supervision of the Statewide Medical Director.
