Job summary

The MetroHealth System seeks a Medical Director to lead the provider team and clinical direction of the Cuyahoga County Corrections Center Medical Services for the Cuyahoga County Jail System. The Medical Director must be an Ohio-licensed physician and will oversee medical and psychiatric services, ensuring access and quality under NCCHC accreditation standards.

Position available immediately. Requires DO/MD, Ohio license, board certification or eligibility in adult primary care or emergency

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice medicine in Ohio (non-restricted)
• Board certification or board eligibility in adult primary care or emergency medicine
• DEA registration
• AHA Basic Life Support certification
• Credentialing and privileging as determined by MetroHealth
• Experience with correctional healthcare preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical oversight of medical and psychiatric services within the Cuyahoga County Jail system
• Lead the provider team and clinical direction of the jail health services program
• Ensure access, performance improvement, and high-quality care meeting NCCHC standards
• Collaborate with MetroHealth and county leadership to develop new processes and programs
