Job summary

Chapa-De Indian Health Program in California seeks a Medical Director to lead clinical care and build strong teams, advancing health equity with purpose.

You will provide direct patient care as a clinical leader, set clinical standards across services, mentor providers, and use data to improve access and outcomes while ensuring regulatory readiness. This is a full-time leadership role with exceptional benefits including loan repayment opportunities.

Qualifications

• California Licensed Physician in Family Practice; Board Certified or Board Eligible.
• Two years of clinical experience in the direct delivery of primary care.
• Leadership role in a primary care health setting.
• Current BLS CPR certificate required.
• Current DEA certificate.
• Valid Driver's License, vehicle insurance, and DMV printout.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care while serving as a clinical leader and role model for high-quality, person-centered care.
• Lead clinical standards, quality, and care delivery across Chapa-De's medical services.
• Develop and mentor providers and emerging clinical leaders through coaching, collaboration, and professional development.
• Use clinical and operational data to drive improvement in patient access, quality, and care outcomes.
• Champion clinical compliance and regulatory readiness, including scope of practice, credentialing, licensing, and clinical standards.
• Partner with executive and operational leaders to shape the future of Chapa-De's growing, multi-site medical program.
