Job summary

Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. seeks a Medical Director, Clinical Development in the Boston area to lead or support clinical subteams and global program teams, shaping global development plans and asset/therapeutic area strategies within the Cell Therapy team, reporting to the Senior Medical Director, Hematology.

Responsibilities include designing and executing multiple clinical studies, representing Clinical Development on the Global Program Team, preparing study documents, selecting advisory

Qualifications

• MD required, preferably Hematology.
• Minimum 3+ years of industry clinical experience.
• Experience as a medical monitor for clinical trials.
• Publications in peer‑reviewed journals.

Responsibilities

• Design and execution of multiple clinical studies or clinical programs.
• Represent Clinical Development on the Global Program Team (GPT) and in management/review committee presentations.
• Prepare clinical study documents including protocols, charters, statistical summaries, presentations, publications, and regulatory sections.
• Select appropriate advisory board participants and guide meetings.
• Critically evaluate disease knowledge and competitive landscape to support program strategy.
