Qualifications

• Education: Doctorate in Medicine (MD) required.
• Board Certified in Child & Adolescent and Adult Psychiatry.
• Licensed to practice in the State.
• Experience with adolescent psychiatry is required.
• Residential experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of Medical Director/Physician leadership experience required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a mental health team to oversee psychiatric care.
• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations within 48 hours of admission.
• Provide psychiatric assistance during treatment as needed.
• Facilitate staff training on key psychiatric issues.
• Coordinate with outreach teams to build relationships with hospitals.
• Manage a caseload and document patient encounters.
• Support patient admissions with initial evaluations.
• Maintain communication with families and outpatient providers.
• Participate in weekly treatment team meetings.
• Ensure compliance with Physician Collaborative Agreements.
