Job summary

Constellation Health Services in Waterville, ME seeks a Medical Director or Attending Physician for a full-time role. Lead the medical program in Skilled Nursing Facilities, providing clinical leadership and ensuring patient-centered care in compliance with regulations.

This role offers autonomy, collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, and a compensation package ranging from $170K to $400K, plus generous benefits and ongoing professional support.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Active, unrestricted medical license.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatrics Preferred).
• State and federal registrations to prescribe and administer drugs, including controlled substances.

Responsibilities

• Available for consultation 24 hours per day, 7 days per week and arranges coverage when not available.
• This role is for Physicians who desire attending and/or Medical Directorship within Skilled Nursing Facilities.
• Certify that patients meet medical criteria based on available diagnostics, prognosis indicators, medical records and nursing reports.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to meet medical needs and implement evidence-based diagnoses, treatments and care plans.
• Review medical records and nursing reports; oversee QA and QAPI programs; monitor infection control.
