Availity, a leading healthcare engagement platform, is seeking a Medical Director, Clinical Informatics to oversee the clinical knowledge base for our AI-enabled decision support tools. You will interpret external medical policies, build attestation trees, and validate platform outputs in collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Clinical Informatics teams.

• MD/DO with 8+ years clinical experience.
• 5+ years in revenue cycle roles (utilization management, prior authorization, claims appeals/denials).
• Healthcare IT experience with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical team through product development from policy review to AI attestation trees.
• Develop domain-specific programming knowledge to assign coded medical constructs to attestation trees.
• Guide clinical oversight for decision trees, policy interpretation, and workflow considerations.
• Support validation, audits, and customer feedback to improve AI outputs.
• Advise Product, Engineering and customer teams on clinical guidance and workflows.
