Our innovative, guideline-based approach spans cancer screening, risk assessment, prevention, diagnosis, treatment support, and survivorship. Our services include cancer genetics risk assessment, nutrition, mental health support, and at-home cancer screening diagnostics. Using technology-driven, patient-centric solutions, Color is transforming how employers, unions, health plans, and governments address cancer. Our goal is to close critical cancer care gaps, improve outcomes, and guide patients with empathy through their healthcare journeys.
We invite compassionate oncologists and physician-leaders to join us as the Virtual Cancer Clinic Medical Director, leading and expanding our evidence-based, virtual care model in a full-time, remote-eligible role.
How You'll Contribute:
- Physician oversight of clinical operations to ensure efficient, high-quality, patient-centered care in cancer screening, risk assessment, prevention, diagnosis, treatment support, and survivorship.
- Establish and maintain oncology and related clinical standards and protocols in collaboration with clinical and diagnostic experts, ensuring compliance with regulations and ethical guidelines.
- Manage and mentor clinical staff, fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture.
- Serve as an oncology expert, consulting on complex cases and resolving care escalations.
- Collaborate with the clinic owner and executive team to uphold standards of the practice of medicine.
- Design and implement virtual cancer care programs aligned with patient needs and market trends.
- Partner with product, engineering, and data teams to optimize workflows and enhance patient and care-team experiences.
- Build and maintain relationships with external oncology and primary care physicians and care teams.
- Ensure effective communication and logistics with external stakeholders.
- Contribute to strategic planning for service expansion and technology adoption.
- Incorporate feedback from key opinion leaders and stakeholders, overseeing clinical contributions to cross-functional teams.
- Deliver personalized, evidence-based telehealth care across the cancer care spectrum.
- Develop tailored care plans considering patient history, risk factors, and goals.
- Prescribe medications, order tests, and follow up via HIPAA-compliant telehealth platforms.
- Educate and empower patients in their health journeys.
- Coordinate communication and follow-up with care team members through documentation and meetings.
- Monitor clinical performance metrics and implement improvements.
- Analyze outcomes to improve care delivery and satisfaction.
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- MD/DO, board-certified or eligible in medical oncology or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of independent clinical practice in cancer care.
- At least 2 years of experience managing and mentoring clinical teams.
- Strong clinical skills and commitment to high-quality, evidence-based care.
- Active medical license with willingness to obtain additional state licenses.
- Proficiency with telehealth tools, EHRs, and clinical automation systems.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with virtual care models and large-scale healthcare delivery.
- Experience leading telemedicine care teams.
- Proven ability in quality improvement and program development.
