• Experience in medical writing, referencing, review, and copy approval.
• Ability to produce detailed, comprehensive documentation.
• Not afraid to challenge peers to reach potential.

A Medical Writer acts as a content expert, a face, and a voice for AdMed, Inc. The role involves all stages in the development of AdMed’s products – from brainstorming with clients, to researching and writing original content, to acting as a virtual teacher in video training programs.

Responsibilities

• Write outstanding, original scientific copy for a variety of target audiences (eg, pharmaceutical sales representatives, physicians, and patients)
• Review medical material from other medical writers and ensure medical accuracy, proper story flow, and correct implementation of adult learning techniques as well as client feedback
• Work on and learn Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered chatbots that simplify drug information, powered by IBM Watson
• Generate ideas – individually, with colleagues, and with clients – to turn scientific facts into engaging video and cutting-edge training
• Attend on-site client meetings, listening to their needs, offering your feedback, and building a level of trust that will ensure future commitments
• Guide team members as a content expert, helping artists, editors, and other writers bring your vision to life
• Manage a team of medical writers
• Act as a leader and face for AdMed as an on-camera teacher
• Identify potential challenges in a project – including those caused by a client’s change to a project plan, timeline, or a request – and spearhead possible resolutions and coordinate team members

Qualifications

PhD, PharmD or MD (other advanced degree considered)

• Resourcefulness and attention to detail, with excellent follow-through skills
• Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
• Effective time management, flexibility, and comfort with meeting deadlines
