Job summary

AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) in Oakland is seeking a skilled physician to deliver outpatient HIV primary care in a mission-driven setting. You will work with a dedicated team to provide compassionate, patient-centered care to underserved communities, including LGBTQ individuals and people living with HIV/AIDS.

The role emphasizes building trust, reducing barriers to care, and contributing to AHF's leadership in HIV and LGBTQ health research.

Qualifications

• Active state medical license in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Infectious Disease.
• DEA registration and ability to furnish medications.
• CPR/BLS certification and willingness to provide care for 15–18 patients per day.
• Experience treating HIV/AIDS in outpatient primary care settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient HIV primary care to adults.
• Collaborate with a shared care team to coordinate patient services.
• Contribute to community health initiatives and reduce barriers to care.

Opportunity Highlights

• Base salary, retention bonus up to $50,000, quarterly bonus up to $3,500, a sign-on bonus, and bi-weekly productivity bonuses.
• Full benefits including medical/dental/vision benefits; a 401(k) or 457(b) retirement plan; and malpractice and tail coverage
• Relocation reimbursement of up to $10,000
• A 100% outpatient schedule with no nights or weekends
• Shared call schedule

Qualifications

• Active, state-specific MD or DO medical license in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Infectious Disease
• A valid DEA registration and furnishing license
• Comfortable with seeing up to 15-18 patients per day
• Experience treating and diagnosing patients with HIV/AIDS in an outpatient Primary Care setting
• The ability to obtain AAHIVM Certification within 18 months of hire
• Current CPR/BLS certification
