NEON is seeking a Medical Director to serve as a scientific expert and strategic partner, guiding brand communications with deep medical insight. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, stay current with research, and support client relationships and business growth through high-quality medical content.

You will lead discussions, develop disease-state backgrounders, ensure medical accuracy across materials, and build relationships with client medical teams while monitoring literature

  • Monitor relevant literature and provide insights to internal teams and clients.
  • Contribute to business development through medical backgrounders, research, and pitch materials, while supporting team onboarding and client management.

Job description

As a Medical Director, you will serve as a scientific expert and strategic partner, providing in-depth knowledge of assigned brands and therapeutic areas to inform brand communications. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, represent the medical perspective, and support client relationships, while staying up-to-date on the latest scientific research and industry trends to drive business growth.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
  • Lead discussions with internal teams, clients, and HCPs to achieve strategic brand objectives.
  • Develop medical backgrounders to educate teams on disease states, clinical trials, and competitive sets.
  • Ensure accurate representation of medical aspects in content creation and client interactions.
  • Establish rapport with client medical teams to facilitate discussions and ensure accuracy.
  • Monitor relevant literature and provide insights to internal teams and clients.
  • Contribute to business development through medical backgrounders, research, and pitch materials, while supporting team onboarding and client management.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
  • Advanced degree (MS, MD, PhD, PharmD) and 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to clearly explain medical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, with ability to build relationships and manage workflows effectively.
  • Strong eadership and management skills.
  • Ability to develop high-quality medical communications content, present projects to clients, and create strategic content aligned with product strategy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and other relevant software.
