Job summary

VCA Mountain Vista Animal Hospital in Las Vegas is seeking a Medical Director to provide clinical leadership and drive medical quality across the hospital. You will be supported by world‑class medicine, technology and a collaborative team, with the autonomy to set medical direction.

This full‑time role offers a competitive compensation package, sign‑on/relocation bonuses up to $75K, an annual bonus, a broad benefits program, and opportunities to mentor staff and participate in clinical studies

Qualifications

• DVM degree required and licensed to practice in NV or ability to obtain license.
• Experience leading medical teams and maintaining high clinical standards.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills for staff and clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and drive medical quality across the hospital.
• Oversee operations, marketing and HR support functions.
• Mentor veterinarians and staff; lead education and clinical studies efforts.

Schedule

• Current hospital hours: Monday – Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
• Full‑time position
• Rotating weekends when needed

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, from an accredited university or equivalent
• Licensure in good standing to practice in Nevada, or the ability to obtain
• A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics
