Job summary

VCA Black Mountain Animal Hospital in Henderson, NV is seeking a Medical Director to lead medical quality and clinical direction. You will be supported by state‑of‑the‑art technology and a talented, collaborative team to deliver superior care for dogs and cats.

The role offers a comprehensive benefits package, sign‑on/relocation incentives, and opportunities to participate in clinical studies while mentoring the care team. This is a full‑time, weekday position with no weekend requirements.

Qualifications

• DVM degree from an accredited university is required.
• Licensure to practice in Nevada in good standing or ability to obtain.
• Commitment to high medical standards and ethics.

Responsibilities

• Practice medicine while directing medical quality at the hospital.
• Provide leadership in Operations, Marketing, HR and Payroll support.
• Collaborate with a dynamic team to deliver world‑class care.

Schedule

• Current hospital hours: Monday – Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
• Full-time position
• No WEEKENDS!

• Salary is negotiable based on experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, and other relevant credentials
• Medical Director Stipend and annual bonus available.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, from an accredited university or equivalent
• Licensure in good standing to practice in Nevada, or the ability to obtain
• A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics
