Job summary

STG International, Inc. seeks a Medical Director for a future opening tied to an active RFP. The role coordinates medical care for residents and ensures their physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being in a nursing facility setting.

The position collaborates with administrators and nursing leadership, leads clinical programs, and provides on-call coverage 24/7 as needed. Experience with regulatory compliance and coordination with NPs is essential.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current unencumbered active license to practice as a Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy in the state.
• Must be knowledgeable of clinical geriatrics and nursing facility medical practices.
• Must be knowledgeable of the rules and regulations governing medical and nursing services in nursing care facilities.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors and the general public.

Medical Director

STGi is seeking qualified candidates for this position in connection with an active Request for Proposals (RFP). Hiring for this role is contingent upon STGi’s selection as the successful awardee.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

• Must possess a current unencumbered active license to practice as a Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy in the state.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

• A Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited college of medicine.
• Physician with a current North Carolina license to practice medicine.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Works in office areas as well as throughout the facility and its premises.
• Is subject to frequent interruptions.
• Is involved with residents, family members, personnel, and visitors under all conditions/circumstances.
• Works beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary. On call 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.
