VCA Hanson in Massachusetts is seeking a Medical Director to lead a team of seven doctors and support staff in a recently renovated hospital with advanced equipment.

The successful candidate will provide world-class veterinary medicine, mentor clinicians, and uphold the highest ethical standards while collaborating across departments in a dynamic, client-focused practice between Boston and Cape Cod.

Qualifications

• DVM degree from an accredited university.
• Massachusetts licensure in good standing or ability to obtain.
• Commitment to the highest standard of veterinary medicine and ethics.

Responsibilities

• Lead veterinary team to deliver world-class medicine.
• Mentor doctors, technicians and staff, fostering collaboration.
• Oversee patient care programs and clinical studies as available.

Schedule

• FT, PT, Rotating, specific needs
• Hours of Operation Mon-Thurs 730am -10pm, Friday 730-7pm, Sat 8-5pm, Sun 8-4pm

Cases

• Patient mix. Dogs, cats, reptiles, avian and small mammals, exotics, some small farm animals like chickens and potbellied pigs

Compensation

• Salary is negotiable based on experience, skills, knowledge, abilities and other relevant credentials. Salary Range: $150,000 - 180-000. Salary range listed is based on a 40 hour work week.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, from an accredited university or equivalent
• Licensure in good standing to practice in MA, or the ability to obtain
• A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics
