Job summary

Ascendo-Resources is seeking a Product Verification Engineer in St. Petersburg, FL. This onsite, 12+ month contract role focuses on verification planning, test protocol development, and hands-on testing across mechanical, electrical, firmware, and software subsystems.

You will lead system- and subsystem-level verification, translate requirements into testable verifications, and document results for quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering discipline.
• 4+ years of experience in product verification or a closely related field.
• Hands-on experience developing and executing verification procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute product verification plans, test protocols, and reports.
• Lead system- and subsystem-level verification activities for medical devices.
• Translate requirements into verifiable verification requirements.
• Perform hands-on lab testing (mechanical, pressure, leak, drop, aging, functional).
• Analyze data to assess performance and compliance with requirements.
• Troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis, and support corrective actions.
• Design, build, and troubleshoot test fixtures and equipment.
• Develop or support automated testing using Python, LabVIEW, PLCs, or similar tools.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, firmware, software, and systems teams.
• Communicate findings and risks to customers and leadership.
• Support test method validation and process improvement.
