Job summary

CONMED is seeking a Medical Device Service Technician to evaluate and repair camera controllers, light sources, and related components. You will perform component-level troubleshooting, software upgrades, burn-in, and Final Checkout, documenting repairs to regulatory standards.

The role requires 2 years of electronic/mechanical assembly and soldering experience, plus physical ability to handle up to 40 lbs and work at a bench.

Qualifications

  • Two years’ experience in electronic/mechanical assembly and soldering within the past 12 months.
  • Must be able to pass soldering skills assessment.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work at a bench 37.5”–42” high.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze returned goods feedback and compare symptom to product failure.
  • Perform troubleshooting to component level to determine failure.
  • Provide failure analysis information to Engineering for root cause investigation.
  • Provide estimates of repair cost for customer quotes as necessary.
  • Route repairs to Production and manage repair/upgrade activities.
  • Complete burn-in, Final Checkout, and safety testing as required.
  • Update repair and device history records and maintain change history file.
