Job summary

Smith+Nephew is seeking a Receiving Quality Inspector to perform receiving inspections of incoming materials, components, and subassemblies in a regulated environment. You will check against drawings and quality requirements, approve or reject materials, and support timely material release to production.

The role requires 2+ years in quality or receiving inspection within medical devices or a regulated industry, with strong attention to detail and the ability to read engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical or vocational training in a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of quality or receiving inspection experience in a regulated industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving inspection of incoming materials, components, and subassemblies.
• Inspect materials against drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
• Approve or reject incoming materials and ensure proper identification and status control.
• Support timely release of materials to production while maintaining procedures.
• Maintain audit-ready inspection records and a clean, compliant area.
