Job summary

Bayer is seeking a motivated Device Research & Early Development Engineer to join the Indianola, PA team. The role focuses on early research and development of medical devices, laboratory testing, data analysis and documentation of technical work packages.

You will design electromechanical prototypes, develop test fixtures, coordinate experiments, and ensure projects stay on time and budget while adhering to internal standards and external regulations. No relocation or sponsorship available.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in a relevant field.
• Knowledge and application of engineering and scientific concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop test methods and protocols for evaluating medical devices.
• Create test fixtures to characterize devices and technologies.
• Design and develop electromechanical prototypes.
• Develop simulated anatomical and physiological models for testing.
• Set up and run laboratory experiments and collect data.
• Analyze data and prepare technical reports and presentations.
• Present findings to cross-functional teams and external entities.
• Coordinate experiments across team members and labs.
• Manage laboratory assets and consumables.
