Job summary

Globus Medical is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the development of instruments and implants. You will design products using Creo Parametric, prepare DHF, and coordinate with marketing, operations, and regulatory teams to ensure on-time, compliant delivery.

The role requires 2–7 years in medical device design, a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, and travel up to 5%. You will work in a fast-paced environment focused on innovative solutions and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Two to seven years of mechanical design engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar area of study.
• Proficiency in Creo Parametric software or similar CAD software.
• Strong self-starter with leadership skills.
• Ability to travel up to 5% of the time

Responsibilities

• Obtaining market feedback from surgeons and other customers to determine functional and design specifications for new product development
• Creating and maintaining project plans and FDA compliant Design History Files (DHF) for each project
• Managing all aspects of assigned projects to ensure timely completion while complying with Globus quality system and regulatory bodies
• Designing and developing instruments and implants using Creo Parametric software
• Partnering with in-house prototype shop and outside vendors for rapid prototyping and evaluation
• Performing design verification and validation activities to ensure designs meet specifications
• Collaborating with marketing and product managers to develop forecasts and market plans
• Assisting in the writing of regulatory applications to the FDA and other regulatory bodies
• Partnering with operations to set up manufacturing/purchasing for each project
• Participating in product introductions through sales training and customer visits
• Maintaining post introduction monitoring to address customer changes
• Researching industry and competitors to stay at the cutting edge
• Adhering to Code of Conduct and compliance requirements
