BN Associates Inc. is seeking a Contract Process Automation Engineer in Plano, TX to support automation and production readiness for a medical-device manufacturing launch. You will work across mechanical, automation, controls, and software domains to optimize automated processes.

The role focuses on developing automated workstations, integrating PLCs and vision systems, and ensuring successful production ramp-up with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

Experience in process automation or related manufacturing fields.
Strong mix of mechanical engineering and software/controls expertise.
Hands-on experience with PLCs, robotics, machine vision, sensors or automated equipment.

Responsibilities

Support automation of assembly, testing, inspection, and manufacturing processes.
Develop and improve automated workstations, tooling, fixtures, robotics, and production workflows.
Integrate PLCs, sensors, machine vision, robotics, and manufacturing software.
Troubleshoot and optimize automated equipment and processes.
Assist equipment commissioning, testing, process validation, and ramp-up.
Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve cycle time, quality, and reliability.
Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, engineering, and product teams to transition processes to production.
