Kelly Science is seeking a Manufacturing / Packaging Technician to support manufacturing and final packaging operations within a highly regulated medical device environment. This position is ideal for candidates with experience in GMP manufacturing, laboratory operations, medical devices, surgical technology, pharmaceutical production, or another regulated environment.
The Manufacturing / Packaging Technician will perform activities associated with final packaging and manufacturing processes across one or more Operations departments. The role will primarily support the PerClot Department, including filling, pouching, and packaging activities, while assisting with BioGlue packaging as needed.
Part of the manufacturing process involves chemical-reaction batching followed by filling a powder product into its delivery system, requiring strong attention to detail and strict adherence to established procedures.
Perform and/or lead filling, pouching, and packaging activities within the PerClot Department.
Assist with BioGlue packaging operations as needed.
Perform manufacturing and processing activities in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and applicable SOPs.
Maintain required training and remain compliant with all manufacturing training requirements.
Strictly follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), documentation requirements, and established manufacturing processes.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures in accordance with OSHA and corporate guidelines.
Perform processing activities in accordance with applicable regulatory and industry requirements in a highly regulated environment subject to inspections and audits, including FDA, ISO, and MDSAP requirements.
Meet established performance expectations for accuracy, error rate, attendance, punctuality, communication, and teamwork.
Safely operate manufacturing machinery and equipment.
Work with Engineering personnel to identify, report, and assist in diagnosing equipment or process issues.
Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Purchasing/Inventory Services, R&D, IT, Calibration, Preventative Maintenance, Sustaining Engineering, Quality Engineering, and Operations Management.
Support interactions associated with OEM customers, physicians/patients, FDA inspectors, and regulatory auditors as appropriate.
Perform additional duties as assigned by Management.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Ability to follow detailed written procedures and work effectively in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
Strong attention to detail, reliability, communication, and teamwork skills.
Ability to safely work with manufacturing machinery and equipment.
Previous GMP experience.
Laboratory or science-related experience.
Additional science education or related technical training.
Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
Previous experience as a Surgical Technologist/Surgical Tech is highly desirable.
Experience with batching, filling, packaging, or powder-handling processes is a plus.
The position may require extended periods of standing and performing repetitive manufacturing activities. Candidates must be able to perform job-related physical activities including lifting and carrying, standing, bending, pushing/pulling, twisting, sitting, balancing, stooping/crouching, reaching, seeing, hearing, and speaking/communicating.
Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour
