Job summary

HiArc in Merrimack, NH seeks a Principal Systems Engineer to translate user needs into robust system requirements and manage risk across hardware and software domains. You will lead concept development, plan experiments, and drive design reviews to meet FDA/ISO standards while collaborating closely with customers.

This role requires deep electro-mechanical expertise and hands-on leadership, with a daily onsite presence.

Qualifications

• 9 years of complex electro-mechanical instrument systems engineering experience.
• Hardware/Software integration experience.
• Must be available for daily onsite presence.

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts to create system level concepts for new project proposals.
• Prepare Systems Engineering cost and schedule estimates; provide technical presentation support and consultation to marketing for proposals and during development.
• Plan and lead experiments to evaluate operating characteristics of products or processes; translate experimental results into design criteria.
• Support System Integration, Verification and Validation by defining, specifying and supervising testing, analysis and integration activities.
• Support the design review and phase gate process to ensure that engineering deliverables meet FDA/ISO requirements & standards.
• Oversee development of requirements for different disciplines such as Software, Electrical, Mechanical, Electro-optics and others.
