Job summary

Medvacon Life Sciences, LLC seeks a Mechanical Engineer II to translate customer requirements into robust mechanical designs for medical devices and electromechanical products. You will create 3D CAD models, develop prototypes, test concepts, and support manufacturing through design verification.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, equipment development, and process improvements, with a focus on delivering regulated medical products from concept to production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical preferred).
• 2–4 years of relevant engineering experience, or a Master’s with <1 year experience.
• Experience with SolidWorks or another solid-modeling CAD.
• Background in medical device/equipment development, particularly electromechanical systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer specifications into mechanical design requirements.
• Create 3D CAD models, drawings, and tolerance analyses using SolidWorks or similar CAD tools.
• Perform engineering analyses to support design decisions.
• Develop and evaluate prototypes, tooling, equipment, and manufacturing processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve design, fabrication, and processing issues.
• Develop test methods, fixtures, verification protocols, and technical reports.
• Analyze test data and provide recommendations for product improvements.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers on fabrication, inspection, and testing.
• Contribute to project planning, execute assignments independently, and support schedule management.
• Train technicians and operators on new processes and production techniques.
