Job summary

Boston Scientific is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Intern in Minnesota to support daily production, investigate product and process issues, review reports, and participate in standups. The role blends hands-on troubleshooting with project planning in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Relocation and housing assistance may be available; the internship is onsite five days per week and targets current juniors who have prior Boston Scientific internship experience.

Qualifications

• Current junior engineering student (May–December 2028 graduate window).
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Must have prior internship with Boston Scientific.
• Must be able to start internship on May 17th or 24th, 2028 and work for 12 weeks.
• Must have reliable transportation to/from work.

Responsibilities

• Reduce scrap and increase product output for manufacturing lines and processes
• Aid in development of new products and processes
• Process Improvement of existing processes and products
• Work with most modern technology in the industry
• Integrate technology with people to achieve real-world solutions
• Collaborate and gain experience from a diverse cross-functional team
• Gain better understanding by applying academic knowledge to a real-world problem set
