Job summary

Planet Group of Companies in Boxborough, MA seeks a Mechanical Technician to support medical product development in a lab setting. You will build, troubleshoot, test, and maintain complex mechanical and electromechanical systems under the guidance of Mechanical Engineers, advancing prototypes toward verification and production readiness.

This hands‑on role requires reading drawings, applying GD&T, and working independently in a collaborative environment with Manufacturing, Quality, and Service

Qualifications

• Reading mechanical drawings and tolerances
• Work on machines, prototypes, test setups, and production‑level hardware
• Independently in a lab while collaborating with engineers

Responsibilities

• Perform hands‑on assembly, build, troubleshooting, and evaluation of mechanical/electromechanical systems
• Support system bring‑up, debugging, testing, validation, and verification per Quality System requirements
• Inspect parts, interpret drawings, apply GD&T during assembly and troubleshooting
• Troubleshoot mechanical/electromechanical issues and perform root cause analysis
• Repair, maintenance, refurbishment, and modification of equipment for safe operation
• Document configurations, issues, changes, repairs, maintenance, and test results
