Job summary

Abbott in Plymouth, MN is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a 7-month, 100% onsite assignment. You will perform technical evaluation of returned medical device products, conduct failure analyses, and generate detailed, audit-ready documentation.

Collaboration with Quality, R&D, Manufacturing, and Regulatory teams is essential. The role requires a strong electrical engineering foundation, excellent problem solving, and the ability to translate technical findings into clear reports for leadership

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Experience performing root cause investigations in regulated environments.
Strong electrical troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive investigations of returned medical devices and components.
Perform electrical, functional, mechanical, and visual evaluations.
Develop investigation strategies based on complaint information and device history.
Execute failure analyses to determine root causes.
Document investigations with audit-ready reports.
