Experis Technology Group is seeking a Failure Analysis Engineer I in Plymouth, MN to conduct investigations of returned medical devices, performing electrical, functional, mechanical, and visual evaluations. You will develop strategies, execute root cause analysis, and document findings in complaint handling systems to ensure audit-ready reports.

A bachelor's in Electrical/Electronics/Biomedical engineering and experience with regulated quality systems are required.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Experience performing root cause investigations and technical failure analysis.
• Experience working within regulated quality systems.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.

Job Title: Failure Analysis Engineer I

Location: Plymouth, MN - 100% Onsite

Pay Range: $31/hr to $36/hr on W2

What's the Job?

Conduct comprehensive investigations of returned medical devices and associated components tied to customer complaints. Perform electrical, functional, mechanical, and visual evaluations to determine complaint validity and failure mechanisms. Develop investigation strategies using complaint information, device history, and product design knowledge. Execute root cause analysis using structured problem-solving methodologies and support escalation when systemic or emerging trends are identified. Document investigation activities and conclusions in complaint handling systems to ensure traceable, technically sound, and audit-ready reports.

What's Needed?

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. Experience performing root cause investigations and technical failure analysis. Experience working within regulated quality systems. Strong understanding of electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques, including the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical specifications, and test protocols. Strong technical writing and documentation skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.
