Job summary

Medline Industries, LP is seeking a Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering co-op at the Glens Falls, NY site. You will work with senior engineers on projects across product integration, development, process improvements, and cost-benefit analyses.

You’ll collaborate with Quality, Planning and Sourcing to align with business needs, and gain hands-on medical device industry experience within a large healthcare organization.

Qualifications

• Background in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering is required.
• Junior standing with GPA 3.0 minimum is preferred.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Excellent organization and communication, data analysis, and follow-up skills are expected.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
• Experience with SolidWorks or equivalent CAD is preferred.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement is preferred.
• Unrestricted permanent US work authorization is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute activities to qualify devices for the Glens Falls facility.
• Verify assembly labor standards.
• Support process development and validations.
• Analyze bottlenecks and improve production processes.
• Conduct time studies for new assemblies or cost-benefit analyses.
• Perform lab testing for process validations or feasibility studies.
• Submit engineering change notices and update process documentation.
• Update product drawings for design changes.
• Communicate with suppliers and divisions on device costs, drawings, and BOMs.
