Job summary

Centillion Infotech LLC in the US is seeking an EMI/EMC Test Engineer to own electromagnetic compatibility and interference testing for our medical device portfolio, ensuring IEC 60601-1-2 compliance and supporting FDA submissions.

The role collaborates with R&D, systems engineering, and regulatory affairs to identify EMC risks throughout the design lifecycle, with a focus on devices used in clinical and home-use environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Biomedical Engineering.
• 3–7 years EMI/EMC experience, with 2+ years in medical devices.
• Working knowledge of IEC 60601-1-2 and IEC 61000-4 series as applied to medical devices.
• Understanding of regulatory pass/fail criteria for EMC.
• Experience with EMC test equipment: EMI receivers, spectrum analyzers, near-field probes, surge/EFT/burst generators.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and analyze EMC pre- and full-compliance testing per IEC 60601-1-2.
• Coordinate with accredited labs for IEC 60601-1-2 certification testing.
• Author and maintain EMC test plans, protocols, and FDA/CE submissions documents.
• Link EMC test results to risk management (ISO 14971).
• Review designs for EMI/RFI mitigation without compromising safety or essential performance.
• Support root-cause investigations for EMC issues.
