Job summary

Transcend Softech LLC seeks an EMI/EMC Test Engineer to own electromagnetic compatibility testing for our medical device portfolio, ensuring IEC 60601-1-2 compliance and FDA submissions. You will work with R&D, systems engineering, and regulatory affairs to identify and mitigate EMC risks across the design lifecycle, especially for clinical and home-use devices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Biomedical Engineering or related field.
• 3-7 years of EMI/EMC experience.
• Minimum 2+ years specific to medical devices.
• Understanding of essential performance and basic safety concepts for EMC.
• Experience with EMC test equipment: EMI receivers, spectrum analyzers, ESD guns, surge/EFT/burst.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and analyze EMC tests per IEC 60601-1-2.
• Apply collateral standards for home healthcare environments as applicable.
• Support wireless coexistence testing for connected medical devices.
• Conduct EMC design reviews at schematic, layout, and enclosure stages.
• Debug EMI/EMC failures using appropriate instruments.
