Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Clinical Engineering Cyber Specialist to lead and support a hospital medical device cybersecurity program in New York. You will oversee critical technical components, risk assessments, device configuration, and remediation efforts to ensure secure operations of clinical devices.

The role requires hands-on technical leadership, collaboration with HTM/IT teams, and adherence to FDA, Joint Commission, and NIST/ISO standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; 3+ years in functional experience
• Experience in medical device cybersecurity or healthcare technology environment
• Driver's license and clean driving record
• Strong knowledge of CMMS platforms, cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO), and FDA/Joint Commission regulations
• Proven ability to lead technical projects and drive cross-functional alignment
• Certifications such as CISSP, HCISPP, CEH, or Security+ preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead collection of Critical Data Elements (CDEs) and manufacturer documentation in CMMS and conduct risk assessments
• Oversee configuration of medical devices to align with cybersecurity standards and manufacturer guidelines
• Manage planned and unplanned vulnerability remediation, including zero-day threats and coordination with device manufacturers
• Investigate cybersecurity alerts on medical devices, analyze high-risk vulnerabilities, and develop response recommendations
• Track and report on vulnerability remediation activities and identify opportunities to improve cybersecurity practices
• Support HTM cybersecurity education, coach BMETs on best practices, and represent Sodexo in industry cybersecurity forums
