Job summary

Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD) in El Paso, TX is seeking an Assembler 1 to support the manufacture of active pharmaceutical ingredients, intermediates, and/or medical devices under direct supervision. The role requires following SOPs and GMP standards and coordinating with safety procedures.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED and some manufacturing exposure; basic English is preferred, with readiness to perform tasks using hand/pallet jacks and other handling equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• 4 months of work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Able to read, write, and understand Basic English preferred.
• Operating skills of manufacturing equipment, tools, and hand/pallet jack is preferred.
• Problem solving skills is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand production processes within area of assignment and operating manufacturing equipment.
• Follow GMPs and standard operating procedures.
• Transport materials using material handling equipment safely.
• Demonstrate adherence to safety by keeping work area clean and reporting hazards.
• Overtime may be required.
