Abbott is seeking an Assembler II in Temecula, CA within the Abbott Vascular division. The role involves electronic, casting/coating, mechanical assembly and packaging of medical devices under supervision in a clean-room environment.

Must have basic training, high school diploma, and strong manual dexterity. You will work with microscopes, hand tools, and X-ray inspection equipment to assemble and test devices, following procedures and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Typically, six plus months of training/experience in the assembly of digital/analog circuitry, devices, components or equivalent.
• Demonstrated manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination.
• Must be able to use standard hand tools used in the assembly of bio-instruments/bio-devices.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines on multiple projects.

Responsabilités

• PerformsElectronic Assemblyfunctions: Assembles, welds, solders and x-rays medical devices and related parts using microscopes and applicable tools; locates and corrects problems by examining x-rays and performing visual inspection of parts; repairs and tests units using computerized test equipment.
• PerformsCasting/Coating functions: Examines devices after molding operations to locate bubbles, nicks and/or excess epoxy; uses drills, reamers, taps and knives to access bubbles and remove epoxy; patches and repairs bubbles or voids.
• PerformsMechanical Assemblyfunctions: Kits, assembles, bonds coats and processes devices and related parts; locates and corrects problems by examining devices; repairs and corrects devices using microscopes.
