Job summary

DORC International is seeking a Medical Device Assembler to join our growing team in a clean-room environment. You will perform a variety of assembly operations and ensure parts meet specifications using measurement tools and drawings.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, fine motor skills, and a strong work ethic, with 1-3 years of cleanroom or medical manufacturing experience preferred. This is a full-time day shift with no travel.

Are you looking for a challenging position as an Assembler in a growing and successful company? We are looking for a Medical Device Assembler to join our dynamic and growing team! The Medical Device Assembler performs a variety of assembly operations in our clean room. Assemblers will be able to complete the following:

Essential Functions:
  • Read a ruler or tape measure and cut fiber to specific measurements
  • Assemble parts according to instructions and training
  • Be able to read some drawings
  • Use a microscope for some operations
  • Be able to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Able to complete manufacturing documents
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Use some hand and power tools
  • Has some understanding of product flow.
  • Adhere to GMP and QMS policies and procedures
Required Education & Skills:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Fine motor skills
  • Attention to detail and quality standards
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong work ethic
Preferred Education & Experience:
  • 1-3 years cleanroom assembly experience a plus
  • Lean manufacturing experience & training a plus
  • Has some experience with Medical Manufacturing products or something similar

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to vibration. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, bend, twist. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and walk to get supplies. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday - day shift.

Travel:

No travel is expected for this position.
