Job summary

MedSpeed is seeking a Logistics Service Representative/Medical Driver in Pittsburgh, PA. This full-time role offers a $17.00/hr wage with a Monday–Friday 3:30 PM–11:00 PM shift. You will primarily operate a company vehicle, transporting lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, and supplies.

Responsibilities include software-scanning, adhering to schedules, and presenting a professional image. Candidates must have a valid license, pass screenings, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Customer service and interpersonal skills required.
• Must be 19+ with an active driver’s license for 3+ years.
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
• Familiarity with technology and how to adapt to it.
• Ability to follow procedures closely.
• Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points.
• Ability to pass initial and random drug & alcohol screen.
• Ability to drive a non-commercial vehicle in varying conditions.
• Excellent driving history is required.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination may be required by location.
• Must lift and carry items up to 50 pounds.
• Able to walk long distances and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive company-owned vehicle and transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, and related materials.
• Operate a hand-held scanning device to track items through transportation.
• Follow operating policies, procedures and service schedules.
• Present a professional image to clients and the public.
• Load and unload items using appropriate equipment.
• Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior.
• Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain a clean vehicle.
• Adapt routes as needed based on client requirements.
