Job summary

MedSpeed is seeking a Logistics Service Representative/Medical Driver in Fairfax. You will spend most of your day driving a company vehicle to transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals and related materials while using a handheld scanner to track items and maintain schedules.

You must be comfortable with long walking periods, have a valid driver's license for at least 3 years, and pass background and drug screening. Training is provided and a company vehicle is provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 19 years of age with an active driver’s license for 3 years.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
• Familiarity with technology and scanning devices.
• Ability to follow procedures and route efficiently.
• Able to pass initial and random drug & alcohol screen.
• COVID-19 vaccination proof may be required by location.
• Lift and carry items up to 50 pounds; walk and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, and hospital supplies.
• Operate a hand-held scanner to track items through the transportation cycle.
• Observe all operating policies, procedures and service schedules.
• Present a professional image to clients and the public through appearance and interaction.
• Load and unload company vehicles with appropriate equipment and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Display teamwork and adaptability with teammates and clients during routes.
