Job summary

Patient's Choice Lab Testing & Blood Draw Services is hiring a Medical Data Entry Rep to support PSCs and lab departments. The role emphasizes accurate data entry, order verification, and proactive workflow improvement in a fast-paced health‑care setting.

The candidate should have experience with laboratory data systems, medical terminology, and a strong commitment to HIPAA compliance, quality, and patient service excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
• Previous medical office or healthcare experience preferred
• Typing speed of at least 40 wpm required
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, LIS/EMR systems preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory specimen processing preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain PSC laboratory information systems to ensure accurate data integrity
• Verify laboratory orders for completeness and accuracy
• Review and validate orders completed by others to maintain quality
• Troubleshoot incomplete orders, missing information, and documentation issues
• Communicate with clients, PSCs, and laboratory personnel regarding issues affecting specimen integrity or results
• Track quality control metrics and partner with leadership to improve workflow
• Complete required documentation accurately within established timeframes
• Cross-train in multiple functions within Data Entry and Quality Control
• Assist with onboarding and ongoing training of team members
• Meet departmental productivity and accuracy expectations within 90 days
• Maintain HIPAA, CLIA, CAP, OSHA compliance and company policies
