Job summary

Actalent is hiring for a healthcare call center support role in Cary, NC. The position requires prior healthcare or insurance call center experience and offers a hybrid work arrangement after a 6-month training period.

The ideal candidate will handle referrals, verify patient and provider information, and ensure clinical accuracy in processing while maintaining organized documentation and timely communication with providers.

Responsibilities

• Review contents of referral to ensure complete and accurate information has been received.
• Create a patient profile from a scanned or faxed image by entering correct patient and provider information to ensure all other groups can successfully serve the patient.
• Conduct initial check of prescription to ensure clinical accuracy for processing.
• Communicate with providers regarding referral status and prescription clarification needs.
• Update concise progress notes to ensure other roles within the workflow are able to quickly assess the status of the referral.
• Enter new provider information (e.g., National Provider Identifier) accurately for BI reporting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Description: 11am-8pm, must have previous healthcare or insurance call center experience! Will be hybrid after the 6 month training period.

Job Responsibilities

Works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations. Normally receives no instruction on routine work general instructions on new assignments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Review contents of referral to ensure complete and accurate information has been received
• Create a patient profile from a scanned or faxed image by entering correct patient and provider
• information to ensure all other groups can successful serve the patient
• Conduct initial check of prescription to ensure clinical accuracy for processing
• Communicate with providers regarding referral status prescription clarification missing
• information or patient concerns so that all information is collected and accurate before it reaches
• other teams for furthering processing
• Updating concise progress notes to ensure other roles within the workflow are able to quickly
• assess the status of the referral
• Enter new provider information i.e. National Provider Identifier accurately into the system so
• that the Business Intelligence group can complete their reporting
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Cary, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
