Job summary

Labcorp in Roseville, MN is seeking a Courier for 2nd shift (Mon–Fri, 2:30pm–7:30pm) with a 10% shift differential. Responsibilities include loading supplies, daily pickups, delivering specimens, and safely handling materials. Must have a valid driver's license and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• No experience or education required.
• Preferred: Labcorp experience and 2+ years of courier or route-based delivery experience within a medical or laboratory setting.
• Experience handling medical specimens or supporting hospital/laboratory operations is a plus.
• Experience using handheld delivery-management devices or route optimization tools such as scanners or dispatch apps is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Load all necessary supplies for daily pickups.
• Complete daily pickup schedule in a timely manner.
• Deliver all daily picks to the branch at the end of shift.
• Handle all specimens and lab samples safely.
• Safely operate company vehicle and obey traffic laws.
• Use handheld device to manage pickups.
• Coordinate with dispatcher for additional pickups as needed.
• Assess traffic, routes and weather conditions to optimize deliveries.

Work Schedule: 2nd shift Monday - Friday 2:30pm - 7:30pm additional 10% shift differential included for 2nd shift.

Job Responsibilities:

• Load all necessary supplies needed for the daily pickups
• Complete daily pick up schedule in a timely manner
• Deliver all daily picks to your branch at the end of your shift
• Handle all specimens and lab samples in safe and efficient manner
• Safely operate company vehicle and obey all traffic laws
• Utilize handheld electronic device to manage daily picks up
• Work directly with dispatcher for additional pick-ups as needed
• Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes and weather conditions as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

• No experience or education required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current or Prior Labcorp experience
• 2 or more years of professional courier or route‑based delivery experience within a medical or laboratory company.
• 1 or more years of experience handling medical specimens or supporting hospital / laboratory operations
• 2 or more years of experience using handheld delivery‑management devices or route optimization tools, such as scanners, GPS‑based routing software, or dispatch applications

Additional Job Standards:

• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
• Be 21 years of age or older
• Punctual with strong time management skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Customer service experience
• Ability to problem solve customer issues
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
