Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Medical Courier - Advanced in Springfield, MO. The full‑time float/coverage courier offers a dynamic, route‑driven schedule (second shift focus with some first/third shift coverage) and a competitive hourly pay.

You’ll deliver medical specimens, communicate with clinical staff, and ensure safe, timely transport using scanners and routing software. The role requires a valid driver’s license with a clean DMV, reliable customer service, and the ability to lift up to 30

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years driving experience and a clean Motor Vehicle Record (no more than two violations in 36 months, none in the last 12).
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with reliable documentation.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems on the road.
• Comfortable using mobile devices or scanning tools.
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs and be on the move for long periods.
• Prior medical, customer service, courier, or logistics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Full-Time Float/Coverage Courier – Variable Hours – Must be available for any route/schedule Monday to Sunday for Advanced (majority of shifts in 2nd shift but must be available for 1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts) - 40 hours/week

Pay range: $19.50+ per hour; employee may be eligible to receive shift differential of 10% for some or all hours worked on second shift and 15% for some or all hours worked on third shift. Additional details on shift differential will be provided if an offer is extended.

Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

• Pick up, transport, and deliver medical specimens and lab materials
• Communicate professionally with doctors, nurses, and lab staff to ensure timely deliveries
• Safely operate a company‑provided vehicle (non‑CDL)
• Use handheld scanners, route software, and mobile apps to track deliveries
• Ensure proper specimen handling, labeling, storage, and documentation
• Comply with all DOT, HIPAA, OSHA, and internal safety standards
• Work a dynamic schedule: you may cover routes on multiple shifts and/or weekends
• May complete special assignments such as training, pack out, air; may work with special projects and clients, and may assist with Group Lead duties
• Cover routes and functions deemed necessary, including covering multiple shifts and providing coverage on an emergency basis

Qualifications

What you need:

• Valid Driver’s license with a minimum of 3 years driving experience and documentation of a Motor Vehicle Record with no more than two moving violation convictions within the previous 36‑month period, with none in the most recent 12 months.
• Great customer service and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, with reliable documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and problem‑solve on the road
• Comfortable using mobile devices or scanning tools
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and be on the move for much of your shift
• Prior medical, customer service, courier, or logistics experience is strongly preferred
