Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Orlando, FL is seeking an Advanced Medical Courier to ensure life-saving diagnostics reach patients quickly and safely. You will pick up and deliver medical specimens and lab materials, communicate professionally with clinicians, and safely operate a non-CDL company vehicle.

This full-time role offers competitive hourly pay of $22.57+ with possible shift differentials, benefits from day one, and opportunities for merit increases and bonuses.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with 3+ years driving experience and a clean motor-vehicle record.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with reliable documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and problem-solve on the road.
• Familiar with using mobile devices or scanning tools.
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs and stay on the move during shifts.
• Preferred: medical, courier, or logistics experience.

Responsibilities

• Pick up, transport, and deliver medical specimens and lab materials.
• Communicate professionally with doctors, nurses, and lab staff to ensure timely deliveries.
• Safely operate a company-provided vehicle (non-CDL).
• Use handheld scanners, route software, and mobile apps to track deliveries.
• Ensure proper specimen handling, labeling, storage, and documentation.
• Comply with DOT, HIPAA, OSHA, and internal safety standards.
• Work a dynamic schedule; cover routes on multiple shifts and/or weekends.
• May complete special assignments or projects as needed.

Pay range: $22.57+ per hour; employees may be eligible to receive shift differential of 10% for some or all hours worked on the second shift and 15% for some or all hours worked on the third shift. Additional details on shift differential will be provided if an offer is extended.

Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

• May complete special assignments such as training, pack‑out, air; may work with special projects and clients, and may assist with Group Lead duties
• Cover routes and functions deemed necessary, including covering multiple shifts and providing coverage on an emergency basis

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a minimum of 3 years driving experience and a motor‑vehicle record with no more than two moving‑violation convictions within the previous 36‑month period, with none in the most recent 12 months
• Great customer service and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, with reliable documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and problem‑solve on the road
• Comfortable using mobile devices or scanning tools
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and be on the move for much of the shift
• Prior medical, customer‑service, courier, or logistics experience is strongly preferred
