Job summary

Agile Occupational Medicine is seeking a Collections Specialist to recover unpaid debts related to Workers’ Compensation and Employer Services. You will review outpatient claims for maximum reimbursement, follow up with insurers and TPAs, and ensure accurate billing per payer guidelines.

The role requires 6 months of medical collections experience, familiarity with EHR/EMR and billing software, and strong HIPAA knowledge. Schedule is Mon–Fri, 8:00–5:00, with hourly compensation of $19.00–$21.00.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of medical collections experience; new grads welcome.
• Ability to read EORs and EOBs and payer correspondence.
• Familiarity with EHR/EMR, Practice Management systems, and electronic billing.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze Workers’ Compensation claims to ensure accuracy and optimize reimbursement.
• Review and analyze Employer and TPA invoices to ensure accuracy and optimize reimbursement.
• Follow-up via heavy outbound calls and written correspondence to insurers, TPAs, and employers.
• Resubmit and file appeals for denied or unpaid claims per payer requirements.
• Maintain detailed documentation of follow-up actions in the EMR and ensure timely follow-up to reduce aging.
