Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of coding or related revenue integrity, denials, auditing experience.
• CCS-P or CPC certification required by AHIMA or AAPC.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to ICD-9-CM/ICD-10-CM and CPT coding guidelines.
• Select and sequence diagnoses/procedures with up-to-date CPT/ICD resources.
• Work with physicians to clarify documentation when data is ambiguous.
• Ensure accurate coding to support proper reimbursement.
• Review charges and resolve coding edits with billing team.
• Perform month-end tasks and generate reports for centers.
• Provide feedback to physicians on billing and documentation.
• Conduct professional fee and documentation audits across specialties.
