Job summary

UW Health is seeking a Medical Coder for a full-time, 100% remote position. You can work from most states, with eligibility based on an active coding certification or Medical Coding education and an approved remote work state on file.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of progressive coding experience, with 2 years in multiple specialties and HCC risk adjustment coding preferred. A High School diploma is acceptable when paired with credentials; an associate degree is preferred.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE position that is 100% remote. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. Applicants hired into this position can work from most states. This will be discussed during the interview process.

Qualifications

Medical Coding education required. In lieu of a Medical Coding education, an active coding certification is required.

High School diploma or equivalent preferred

Associate's Degree in a healthcare related field preferred

Work Experience

1 year of progressive coding experience required

2 years progressive coding experience in multiple specialties, HCC Risk adjustment Coding preferred
