Job summary

Aptive Resources is seeking a healthcare coding consultant to audit inpatient DRG, outpatient and professional fee coding for VA facilities, build statistical samples, classify errors, and draft facility reports.

You will lead training sessions and exit conferences with HIM leadership, requiring active RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, or CPC-H credentials and deep knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS, DRG, APC and NCCI edits.

Qualifications

• Active RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, or CPC-H credential.
• 3+ years consulting, coding, and training experience.
• Expertise in ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS, DRG, APC, and NCCI edits.

Responsibilities
