Job summary

CommonSpirit Health seeks a Coding Auditor to ensure accurate reimbursement by reviewing coding defects before billing. You will play a central role in optimizing the revenue cycle and maintaining financial integrity across its extensive network of clinics and hospitals in Washington state and beyond.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of coding experience or 2 years in a health care environment.
• Certification in CPC, CCA, CCS, CCS-P, RHIT, or RHIA from AAPC or AHIMA.
• Knowledge of anatomy/physiology, disease processes and medical terminology.
• Strong analytical skills, decisive judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Research and review coding-related claim denials and provide expert guidance on corrections.
• Proactively resolve pre-billing coding defects to prevent revenue loss and safeguard reimbursement.
