Job summary

ModMed is hiring a driven Medical Coding Auditor to join our BOOST Services team focused on delivering top-tier coding compliance and accuracy for our clients.

The Medical Coding Auditor conducts coding reviews and QA audits to ensure ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, CPT coding and modifiers follow guidelines, and handles denial management when needed.

They maintain ongoing contact with BOOST and global coding teams, provide feedback, training, and education under the supervision of the Coding Manager.

Qualifications

• Certification as a professional coder required with physician-based or ASC experience preferred.
• CPMA certification preferred or willing to obtain within 6 months.
• Solid understanding of CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS and modifiers.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, review, and provide QA feedback during audits on coding accuracy and trends.
• Ensure adherence to federal/state guidelines and payer requirements.
• Document audit results and communicate coding resolutions to BOOST/global teams.
• Collaborate on inquiries, clarifications, and training with coding leadership.
• Support education efforts and participate in ongoing coding guideline updates.
